about

E.V.E. Αθήνα, Greece

E.V.E., is a melodic prog/rock project created by Vicky Psarakis, an american-greek vocalist/composer, in late 2010. The concept behind it is the world we live in, everyday human situations and interactions, disease and the kind of corruption that comes from within. Music-wise, though the style mainly revolves around a melodic/prog core, you can identify various fusion, ambient & oriental elements. ... more

Track Name: Poetic Injustice
Here I am, I'm no poet in disguise
But I'll try to tell you my story.

We lived and roamed upon you
Cherished you, fed upon you
Extracted every need and created
We dreamed, had visions
Infinite possibilities and change
We Could fly one day
We Could taste the rain
Life carried on, and our needs turned into greed
Thus born Material Gain
Our visions turned into distorted images
The thirst leading us, not the goal
We craved for attention
And glowed Underneath The Spotlight
Always the spotlight...

Yet we forgot about love
Tangled ourselves beneath Dirty Sheets
Searching for comfort, for a home
Our children grew on neglect
Knowing no wrong from right
No values, no boundaries, no limits
Hold Her Hand, I screamed
But all attempt fell in vain
Beauty never seemed subliminal
We forgot about the essence
Caved into our falsified erections
We were constantly occupied
Always in a rush to make a living
Never cared to fulfill our lives
And our conscience never screamed out of guilt
Yet we failed to hear The Planet's Cry
Free will deeply misinterpreted
Happiness replaced by satisfaction
We lost the will to imagine, to give, to care
Instead we continued to Toxicate The Madness
We worshiped and chased our deities
Perpetual Dreamers incapable of reality
And here I am, I'm channelling the universe
And I bid Farewell to All-Creation...

Here I am, isolated from a world I once loved
I can see, that the damage inflicted cannot be undone
I'm to blame, yet these scars left upon you shall forever remain
And I am here, far apart from a place once called home
Track Name: Perpetual Dreamers
Here we stand utterly misguided
By this disillusion of adequacy
Suppressed by our ever-ending needs
We are hopelessly searching for a remedy

Longing, searching, hoping for love

And if God could rock n' roll
Where would it leave us?
And if you would take the fall
What would pleasure mean to us?

We are the perpetual dreamers
A nation wide of similarities
This is your disfunctional system
A price we pay with extra fees

Longing, searching, hoping for love

And if God could rock n' roll
Where would it leave us?
And if you would take the fall
What would pleasure mean to us?
Track Name: The Planet's Cry
Stupidity, rage, hunger, belief
It's all in your system
Locking you down
Ignorance, fear, manipulating deeds
This is your trial

Free will
Where have you carried them?
Opportunity
Misguided by the least
Happiness
Replaced by satisfaction
Humanity
What have you done to us?

Once a witness of the deadly sins
Ruled solely by them
There was lust, greed and envy
Gluttony and wrath came to be
Though sloth and pride nested in me

Free will
Where have you carried them?
Opportunity
Misguided by the least
Happiness
Replaced by satisfaction
Humanity
What have you done to us?
Track Name: You Could
You could wake one day
From the frightening light inside your mind
You could catch the smell
Of autumn leaves withering
Maybe one day if you disagree to live in sloth
You will climb a higher tree

You could feel the wind
Blow your face and taste the rain
You could sense the thrill from diving down a waterfall
If a new day comes
Inside your fixed way of life
You'll do anything you fear

Come, reach up high
Like an elevator ride up to the sky
Come, face the wind
Don't separate your life
Until you've crossed the line

When you find yourself
Inside four walls, no memory left
You could come across an open door
Distinct and wide
If you start the race
And find yourself far ahead
The world will never be enough

Come, reach up high
Like an elevator ride up to the sky
Come, face the wind
Don't separate your life
Until you've crossed the line
